I am not the 'traditional' makeup artist, nor the makeup 'aficionado' or a compulsive makeup buyer. I don't have a YouTube channel and for a while I've been hesitating in having a blog and writing down some knowledge and experiences. But after browsing around in different seach engines, I notice that most blogs are a little bit the same: products reviews and little of the real information about the application of that particular product, for who it has been designed and created and the effectiveness of it.
I like to challenge myself, but most important, I like to have and achieve my personal goals.  And althought I do NOT have all the answers, I'll share what I know.
I carry the makeup that really works for me as an artist and for my clients. Most are branded and some isn't.  I believe that a MUA shouldn't limit her 'stock' but should maintain it with quality products that are easy to promote, suggest and to find, as there's so much out there to 'play' with.

Most of my professional career has been with models and brides, so most of what I'll share and post in this blog will be from my point of view as a Makeup Artist instead of as beign a client myself.  I love to teach to upcoming artists and ignite what I am passionate about: makeup artistry.
In the beauty industry, all professionals must set apart in many areas: professionalism, work ethic & values, client consultation, product knowledge, respect for other fellow artists and thinking-outside-the box. This is what I believe and what I am all about.

'TU PIEL, TU MAS PRECIADA JOYA'  -Damariz


No soy una simple aficionada al maquillaje, compradora compulsiva ni mucho menos la maquillista 'tradicional'. No tengo un canal en YouTube y por mucho tiempo habia estado debatiendo en continuar, o mas bien, re-iniciar mi 'blog' y compartir mis experiencias y parte de mi conocimiento; Pero luego de buscar diferentes alternativas en otros 'blogs' me di cuenta de que muchos contienen 'mas de lo mismo': evaluaciones y recomendaciones de productos. Todos escazos de informacion escencial sobre la aplicacion del producto, para quien ha sido diseñado y creado y la efectividad del mismo. Y fue entonces (y gracias a una muy buena estudiante- Allyson) que me dije: manos a la carga!

Me gustan los retos, pero mas aun, me gusta alcanzar mis metas. Y a pesar de que no tengo todas las respuestas, compartire lo que pueda y gran parte de lo que se.
Me apasiona educar a futuros maquillistas y compartirles un poco esa 'chispa' que me caracteriza; Sin embargo, solo escojo aquellos que realmente siento que tienen el compromiso y calibre de superar mis expectativas.
Llevo conmigo aquel maquillaje que realmente trabaja tanto para mi como para mi cliente. Gran parte de lo que compone mi kit de maquillaje profesional es de 'marca', pero una pequeña parte no lo es. Creo que un maquillista no deberia estar limitado a una linea especifica, sin ambargo deberia tener productos de calidad que sean faciles de promover, sugerir y comprar ya que hay una gran variedad para 'jugar' y utilizar.

Varios años de mi carrera profesional han sido con modelos y novias; Es por ello que en su mayoria compartire en este 'blog' mi punto de vista como Maquillista antes de mi punto de vista como cliente.

Como Profesional en la Industria de la Belleza creo que debemos llevar los mas altos estandares en muchas areas: profesionalismo, etica de trabajo, valores morales, consulta al cliente, conocimiento de cada producto, respeto hacia cada uno de nuestros colegas y pensar fuera de la norma (thinking-outside-the box).
Es en esto en lo que creo y es esto lo que soy.
